Yorck is a German and European patent attorney as well as a UPC representative with strong background in electrical engineering and telecommunications. He is a recognized expert in standard-essential patents. Yorck assists his clients in patent prosecution proceedings in Germany and before the European Patent Office as well as in the enforcement of their IP rights worldwide. Since 2009, Yorck has focused in particular on the selection and assessment of standard-essential patents and regularly leads technical negotiations in licensing negotiations worldwide, e.g., in China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and the USA.

In addition, Yorck is a pro-bono IP coach at the Munich-based startup accelerators TechFounders and RESPOND. Yorck regularly lectures on German and European patent law in Germany, Asia and the U.S.. He is also an active member of the LES USA/Canada FRAND Committee and the LESI HGE Task Force, and was one of the first LESI YMC members. Yorck is fluent in German, English, Spanish and French.
